As I kid I always thought Watermelons were rather tasteless and preferred melons, an adult however develops a taste for subtler foods and I’ve recently become a fan of the Watermelon or Pasteche as the French call them. In hot weather slice them into wedges the size of a box of matches. Put them in bowl and chill in the fridge. Bring them out after a meal or after exercise they will just disappear.

Benefits:-

Rich in Water Watermelon has very dense amount of water that helps in rehydrate your body, few drink enough water!

Rich in Potassium, Maintain the blood pressure and might decrease the size of the kidney stone.

Natural Sweetness : Watermelon has zero fats and low in calories! A perfect finger food to lose weight!

Rich in Fibre : Avoid constipation, help digestion

Concentrated Carotenoids : Carotenoids are the red pigments found in watermelon that can prevent cancer

Good Antioxidants : Watermelon contains antioxidant such as Vitamin A and Vitamin C that helps in preventing cell damage, neutralizing and also removing free radicals.

With all those benefits Watermelon just melts in the mouth which in my eyes makes it the perfect fruit for hot days. My personal belief is that we can’t eat too much fruit, in fact I know someone who takes a week long melon cure every year.

It’s even tougher to persuade your kids the trick is buy more varieties, I mean once upon a time we just had cabbage, carrots and peas now the stores and markets have dozens of sorts domestic and exotic.

If you are the homemaker use your imagination to present fruit and vegetables in an attractive manner. I cut fruit and raw vegetables and arrange them on a platter, trust me your family will nibble. And if they nibble a carrot instead of a chocolate bar you have won.

A smudge stick is a bundle of dried herbs, most commonly white sage. Often other herbs or plants are used or added and the leaves are usually bound with string in a small bundle and dried. Some other herbs and spices that are often used include cilantro, cedar, lavender, and mugwort, none of which are native to the Americas. They have a strong, pleasant aroma when burnt. Smudging is used in ceremonies by Native Americans including the Cree.

Smudging traps negativity in the smoke and carries it out to escape through the doors or windows. Use Smudging as a spiritual house cleaning especially when there are feelings of anger, resentment or other negative feelings in the house.

You can buy commercial smudges but you can make your own. The most common herb found in them is sage and this herb is good for healing and uplifting of the spirit. Sweetgrass is similar but maybe more gentle. Releasing anxiety and sorrow is what sweetgrass is used for.

Lavender is great for relaxation of the mind. Rose is another ingredient that makes the house smell beautiful and is used for love. You can add the lavender or rose to smudge sticks you buy as well if you wish to personalize your blend.

You probably know aloe has been used for centuries to treat burns and scrapes. It’s probably safe to say, you’ve even used it for at least one of those two (that includes sunburns!). Are you aware that aloe is referred to by many researchers as “Nature’s Miracle” because of the dozens upon dozens of other ailments it can treat? Chances are you didn’t.

That is because the huge drug companies don’t want you to know about that.

They have kept it under wraps because they make money through research of disease treating drugs. It takes years and millions of dollars to find a drug, test it, and finally market it. That then funds their next project. It’s a horrible cycle that never ends.

%100 natural way to address the symptoms of respiratory ailments such as:Colds, Sneezing, Coughing, Asthma, Shortness of Breath, Allergies, C.O.P.D Related Ailments, Respiratory Problems from Smoking, Bronchitis and Hay Fever

This porcelain device is based on Speleo/Halo Therapy (cave and salt therapy). The ORIGINAL THERAPIPE crystal salt is from ancient European salt mines 20-22 million years old and the caverns are visited by thousands of people each year

You simply inhale the Aroma Therapipe’s salty air through your mouth and exhale through your nose, breathing normally. When the cleansing process starts, it is normal for some coughing and sneezing to occur. It is recommended that you use the Aroma Therapipe for 20 minutes a day for 3 weeks. It does not need to be in one sitting, two 10 minute sessions are fine. The Aroma Therapipe is effective for up to 5(+) years of daily use without a refill.

A new day has dawned for the many people who want an alternative to drugs for their respiratory problems. The revolutionary Aroma Therapipe brings the benefits of the salt mine therapy right into your home. Children can also use it, but be aware that it is porcelain and breakable if mishandled. It is recommended that each Aroma Therapipe be used by only one person therefore they are “color coded.”

It’s on vacation that we tend to suffer the most sun burns, insect bites, scrapes, scratches, chafing, rashes etc, so don’t forget to pack a big fat lower Aloe Vera leaf in a light cloth and put pack it in your suitcase. The raw natural gel will at the least soothe if not cure most of your skin complaints. Just cut off a short section from your leaf, trim any spikes, then cut open and gently rub the Aloe Vera gel on to the sore spot, get proper medical treatment for anything serious of course.

Oh and remember to have a great vacation.

I am in training for my Hadrian’s Walk Charity Walk and did a six hour walk in hot weather over the downs it was tough going but my worst problem was chapping sores where the top of my thighs were rubbing. I got home and cut a section of Aloe Vera leaf and spread the gel on my sores. I got instant relief and hope to be sore free by tomorrow morning; will let you know.

Next day report, I am stunned how much better my sores are, I am not aware of them at all although they still look red and must have been close to blistering, another success for natural Aloe Vera Gel

I got home very tired and dehydrated so I ate a bunch of grapes which was an ideal way to get sugars, liquids, fibers and minerals back into my system, and was also delicious!

At first you think this is just paranoia, but when you see how many of the adverts on television are for cures for our unhealthy lifestyles; another posting said that the next generation will be the first in recent history to live shorter lives than their parents.
